BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS

 

On June 18, 2025, the City Council approved a Public Works Agreement (“Agreement”) with Rancho Del Oro Landscape & Maintenance, Inc. (“RDO”), for the landscape maintenance services for the City-owned El Corazon Medians between Hugh La Bounty Drive and South El Corazon, the El Corazon Senior Center located at 3489 Village Commercial Drive, the El Corazon Aquatic/Event Center located at 3425 Hero Drive, and the Oceanside Navigation Center Property located at 3127-3135 Oceanside Boulevard.(“Property”) for a term of one year, which expires on June 30, 2026. Staff is requesting to extend the Agreement for an additional one-year term.

 

The proposed Amendment 1 would become effective on July 1, 2026, and extends the term for a period of one-year, terminating on June 30, 2027, for a one-year compensation of $73,264, which includes a $10,000 contingency for extra as-needed services for unexpected repairs. The revised total Agreement compensation amount will not exceed $138,440.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

 

Amendment 1 with RDO is $73,264 which includes a contingency of $10,000 and will be charged to the El Corazon Maintenance account 3208505501.5320 which has an available balance of $300,000 in FY 2026-27.
