BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS

The Development Services Department's Engineering Division is responsible for managing an estimated $265 million CIP budget over the next five fiscal years.

On March 22, 2023 and June 21, 2023, the City Council approved a number of three-year PSAs with consulting firms for as-needed services. These agreements enable the Development Services Engineering CIP and Land Development groups to quickly adjust staffing levels and obtain technical support as needed. The existing PSAs include fifteen categories and are set to expire in June 2026 and include a not-to-exceed amount of $150,000 per fiscal year.

On June 26, 2024, the City Council approved Amendment 1 to the PSA with Geopacifica, in the amount of $50,000, for as-needed geotechnical services. On May 21, 2025, the City Council approved Amendment 2 to the PSA with Geopacifica in the amount of $40,000, for continued geotechnical services.
